Protect your children from gambling online.

Tuesday, August 28th, 2007

Online gambling is a pastime to be enjoyed and not to be abused; certain groups of people can fall into the trap of compulsive gambling to easily one of these groups is Children under 18’s, there are regulations and rules set up by the gaming commission to ensure that all online clubs are responsible for the protection of the innocents but this also comes down to parents too.

If you are a game player you are advised to ensure your children are not actively encouraged to play and by letting them play on your accounts you are breaking these guidelines and regulations and can be penalized if found out.

You must ensure your children do not have access to your accounts and you can do this by placing passwords on all accounts and not divulging what they are in order to stop them form being able to access them. Under 18 year olds do not understand the implications of gambling, playing online does not have the same feel as walking into a bookies and placing a bet.

You can add funds to an account so easy and it is easy to fund more than you mean too. Keep your game play to a time when your children are not present or only play if they are not around. It is a legal requirement as under 18’s are legally not allowed to play at any gambling establishment.

Gaming establishments will have in place age verification systems and if they believe a player is not 18 or older they suspend any accounts.

Many sites will have security and child protections systems in place however it is requested that if you have young people around take you take care with your passwords and usernames keep these confidential and never leave your children unattended whilst you are logged on to any sites.
If you think your child might have a tendency to visit these sites you can protect them by installing various software on your computer which restricts access into these online sites.

Norton-anti-virus is a good application as is net nanny both these programs can be set by yourself to limit the access your children have on the internet.

Internet Bingo That is No Download

Friday, August 10th, 2007

No Download Internet Bingo software is now the norm at most online bingo sites that you can play on in the UK.

No Download Internet bingo is normally what is called a flash bingo game. Flash refers to the type of software the game is made in and also what you see the game in on your computer.

To play no download bingo games you need to have the flash software installed. Nearly all new computers will have flash installed by default and if you don’t have it installed you will be prompted to download the software when you visit a bingo site that runs on flash.

The older versions of Internet bingo games are called download bingo games. These games get installed on your computer once you download a large file and then they communicate with the bingo operator’s site to get the numbers as they are called.

This Download software is nearly obsolete as with the advent of faster internet connections the flash bingo games offer a far better player experience without the need to install software on your computer.

There is always a fear that when you install a piece of software on your computer that it may have a virus or spyware so for this reason I play flash bingo games only.

JackpotJoy.com is a great example of a good flash bingo site. www.jackpotjoy.com
